• Understanding why you perform bad habits:

Every bad habit can be eliminated if you can control the dopamine levels of the brain. Dopamine is the happy hormone that is released when we do things that we like. Bad habits are always fun to do but it is harmful for our future self. Thus, it is all about controlling a single hormone and you will break any bad habit you want.
I hope you understand now why you have bad habits.

Making a plan to overcome a bad habit :

Making a habit tracker will help us in overcoming bad habits. Write down 1 to 21 days on a piece of paper and when you complete one day without performing that bad habit check out/ tick out on the particular day. Do it for 21 days and you will be able to break your bad habit. I have followed this strategy to overcome bad habits and it worked for me.

How meditation can help you break your bad habits :

Meditation promotes self-awareness and mindfulness, making it easier to recognize and control impulses associated with bad habits. It enhances emotion control, reducing the need for habitual responses to stress or discomfort. Consistent meditation can provide mental strength to break free from bad routines.

If you want to know the correct way of doing meditation then search our blog "Meditation - a powerful practice" on this website.

How to replace a bad habit with a good habit :

First of all, you have to make your bad habits dissatisfying to do. Create a good environment around you that eliminates all the triggers that cause bad habits. Reward yourself in the end for not performing that bad habit. Keep in mind that rewards should not be dangerous to you and impact your good habits.

Building good habits requires lots of determination, consistency, and persistence. Identify the time of triggers and perform a good habit on that time to replace a bad habit.
