Without your consent, nothing can make you angry.

Hello to my brothers and sisters,
Our today's blog is dedicated to a moral telling story of a boy who is trying to do meditation in gurukul.

In a gurukul, There was a rule to meditate daily, After doing meditation, one had to tell his progress to his guru.

A new boy was finding it very difficult to meditate. He was not able to concentrate during meditation. Because of which he was very angry. His master asked him,
"What exactly are you angry about?"

The boy said, whenever I do meditation, sometimes someone comes talking, sometimes a cat or other animal comes. The guru told the boy that you are getting angry at everything around you. Whereas the real purpose of meditation is to avoid anger. You have to find a way to meditate without being disturbed by the people, animals and things around you. Then the boy set out to find a peaceful place outside the Gurukul.

He saw a very calm river bank. He started doing meditation by laying his sheet there. As soon as he closed his eyes, he heard the sound of wind blowing. So he got angry, then when the sound of the leaves of the tree came, he got angry whenever the sound of birds come , he started getting angry at it.

He thought that there is a lot of disturbance on the bank of the river, why not I go to the middle of the river and do meditation. He sat in a boat and went to the middle of the river. And there he started doing meditation. The boy was feeling better while meditating in the centre of the river.

Then he sat in the boat everyday and started doing meditation by going to the middle of the river. Now he was happy that no one was disturbing him and he is able to meditate. One day while meditating in the river, He heard the sound of water splashing when he opened his eyes, he saw a big boat coming towards him. He got very angry , he started shouting in anger. "Don't bring your boat here! Turn it !". But that boat hit the boy's boat. The boy was very angry. But when he looked in that boat, There was no one in it. That boat had come there because of the strong wind and the current of the water.

So the boy again remembered his teacher's question, who do you really get angry with? The boy understood that he is not getting angry because of people or the situation. Rather it was coming on its own reaction. After this boy again doing meditation inside the Gurukul. Where there was disturbance as before but he had now begun to perceive that noise as an empty boat.

We learn from this story that

"Without your consent, nothing can make you angry".
